Demand for multigenerational living solutions is on the rise in the United States, driven by changing societal dynamics and economic concerns post-pandemic. A recent Harris Poll for Bloomberg revealed that approximately 45% of young Americans aged 18 to 29 are living with their parents—the highest percentage since the 1940s.
This burgeoning trend has sparked interest in housing designs that cater to multiple generations, and a number of new residential developments across the country are responding with replicable solutions. The Prado community in Las Vegas offers one- or two-level homes, as well as detached casitas, with ample privacy and spaces for independent living, Forbes reports.
