Architects and builders can select from a variety of impact-resistant, energy-efficient Andersen products that are specially designed to meet new building-code requirements in many Gulf and Atlantic coast states. Andersen windows and doors with StormwatchT protection resist the effects of high wind and windborne debris associated with hurricanes and other coastal storms. Available in a broad selection of styles, shapes and sizes, these products include double-hung, casement, awning, and specialty windows; Frenchwood hinged, outswing and gliding patio doors; patio door sidelights and transoms; and skylights. In My Own Words

"I really like Andersen windows and doors, especially its outswing French door. We experienced almost no water penetration whatsoever during the September 2004 hurricane season with these products. They perform well because of the way the sill is designed with weep holes that allow the water to come in slightly and then drain out."
