This engineered ventilation system is designed specifically for balanced intake and exhaust airflow in steep-sloped roofs; achieving that balance reduces buildup of mold and ice, and combats shingle failure as well. Components include the Techni-Flo RV all-metal ridge vent, which installs easily with a snap cover; CrossVent polyiso foam insulation board and the CrossVent RB, which combines insulation, a nailable surface and ventilating airspace in one panel; and the Techni-Flo EV eave vent to allow air flow through the CrossVent to the ridge. The CrossVent and CrossVent RB use vent spacer strips to separate the foam insulation from 7/16-in. OSB; both products are also FSC-certified.
