Using six metrics to rank the 100 most populous Metropolitan Statistical Areas in the U.S., Forbes names America’s 20 fastest growing cities.
The metrics included population growth for 2014 and 2015, year-over-year job growth for 2014, gross metro product growth for 2014, federal unemployment data, and the median annual pay for college-educated workers in each area using data from Payscale.com.
Thanks to the Lone Star State’s oil output in the past three years, Houston tops the list, and four other Texas cities – Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and San Antonio – place in the top 10.
