Chevrolet has updated its Silverado full-size pickups. The trucks in the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 line have eight-speed automatic transmissions, which helps with hauling heavy loads. Silverado has OnStar and 4G LTE Wi-Fi, and will now have support for Apple CarPlay, which connects with users’ iPhones and allows them to make calls, send messages, and listen to music. The trucks’ safety features include Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist, and IntelliBeam high-beam assist, along with wireless phone charging, LED running lamps and park/turn lamps, and a remote locking tailgate. The standard Silverado has a 4.3L V-6 engine with 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. More powerful models are available, including one with a 6.2L V-8 engine, 420 horsepower, and 460 lb-ft of torque.
