Housing experts want the next president to more aggressively reform lending and regulations to give the industry a boost. Obama administration critics contend that the president gave his attention to ending risky lending practices and protecting consumers, but did not adequately streamline regulations and reform the mortgage business. Experts also said the next president should focus on incentivizing builders to develop entry-level housing.
