Metal Roofing | CertainTeed

October 13, 2015
This article first appeared in the PB October 2015 issue of Pro Builder.

Presidio, a new line of metal roofing from CertainTeed, reproduces the appearance of slate, clay tile, and wood shake roofing in a product that’s less expensive and requires less maintenance than traditional materials. Presidio roofing is Energy Star-qualified, made with up to 50 percent recycled material, and is completely recyclable when removed due to renovation or demolition. The steel panels are formed using a deep-draw process, and reduce noise, resist fading, and decrease the amount of heat transferred into a home on hot days, the manufacturer says. The roofing comes in three styles: Presidio Slate, Presidio Tile, and Presidio Shake.
