What place in the U.S. has great jobs, a strong economy, affordable homes, excellent schools, and a population below 50,000? According to Money magazine, it’s Apex, N.C.
Together with Onboard Informatics, Money ranked the 50 best small towns in the U.S. to live in. “Apex has all the things you’d expect in the No. 1 place to live: a charming downtown, top-notch schools, and the kind of community spirit that draws 15,000 people to the annual ParkFest street fair,” the article says.
Employers in the area include those at the 7,000-acre Research Triangle Park, 18 miles away, where multinational giants such as IBM, Cisco, and GlaxoSmithKline employ more than 50,000 workers.
