The October Case-Shiller forecast from Zillow indicated growth in national, 10-city, and 20-city indexes.
In terms of year-over-year growth, Zillow expects the September Case-Shiller national index to increase 5.7 percent, the 20-city index to increase 5 percent, and the 10-city index to increase 4.2 percent.
Sustained growth in the national index will continue to put pre-recession housing peaks in the rearview mirror, as September marked the first month in which national home prices exceeded those set prior to the recession.
