Some places are more desirable to people as a moving destination than others and there are a multitude of factors that play into someone’s decision to move out-of-state. Things like climate, jobs, safety, education, and amenities all play important roles.
If a study by Penske Truck Rental that compiled and analyzed data relating to one-way truck rental reservations made by its customers is to be believed, the south and southwest are the most popular destinations for people to move, apparently checking off more things on their lists than other places.
Phoenix, Orlando, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Tampa/Sarasota all made the list, as the Houston Chroniclereports, but it was another large, southern city that took the number one spot.
