Rummaging for a phone to turn on the lights doesn’t seem that smart, so home technology company Quirky has produced a control pad that can be installed directly on a smart home’s wall socket, Fast Company Design reports.
The device replaces the need for the standard, box-like hub that many other companies use to connect multiple smart devices to one another. Quirky’s control pad comes with a light-up display that senses when a user is approaching, and it connects all the different products in the home on a 4.3-inch LCD touch screen.
