Smartphone | Kyocera

December 14, 2015
This article first appeared in the PB December 2015 issue of Pro Builder.

Unlike the many smartphones that easily break, the Kyocera DuraForce will stay strong, the manufacturer says. The phone, from AT&T, has all the standard smartphone capabilities, including a 720p high-definition screen, 16 GB of storage, and 4G LTE and Wi-Fi. It also is dustproof, waterproof, and offers Military Standard 810G protection against shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, and other rigorous conditions. The touchscreen can be used with wet hands or with gloves on; large buttons on the side and a loud speaker allow for easy push-to-talk calls; and the phone contains the Android KitKat 4.4.2 operating system and Kyocera’s Smart Sonic Receiver technology, which enhances audio clarity in noisy environments.
