The State of Virginia has kicked in $200,000 to a program the Thomas Jefferson Soil & Water Conservation District has been running in central Virginia since 2011 aimed at green solutions to storm water runoff.
Homeowners that build a rain garden, or a green roof, use permeable pavement or a dry well, can be reimbursed for around 75% of the cost.
