New gadgets for a connected home keep coming in droves. Pop Sugar compiles a list of 12 of the latest (and coolest) smart-home products out there.

On the list is wearable technology Ring, which turns a user’s finger into a magic wand. The gesture-controlled device can program movements to open drapes, turn on a television, and even hail an Uber.

Another item for households with pets is the Petcube, a video-camera system that connects with a smart phone, allowing users to see what their pet is up to, enable a laser pointer to entertain them, and built-in speakers to allow pet-human interaction remotely.
