Garage Door / Overhead Door
Overhead Door’s Envy is a full-view garage door with ¼-inch-thick tempered glass panels mounted on an aluminum frame for an ultramodern look. The frame is available in three powder-coat and two anodized finishes, and glass options offered are Opaque White, Opaque Black, Mirrored Gray, Mirrored Bronze, and Translucent Black. The doors meet ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and California’s Title 24 air-infiltration requirements.
Windows and Doors / Milgard Manufacturing
Milgard has been designing and assembling windows and patio doors in the U.S. for more than 50 years, with a network of over 3,000 local dealers. The manufacturer’s seven product lines include the Essence Series (shown), featuring a fiberglass exterior and natural wood interior. Proprietary features include the SmartTouch lock and handle and an exterior formulation to reduce maintenance. The windows carry the American Architectural Manufacturers Association Gold Label.
Exterior Steel Doors / Jeld-Wen
The Craftsman Collection of exterior steel doors from Jeld-Wen provides the look of craftsman design at a more affordable price. The collection comes in three variations, including two-panel, three-panel, and single-panel options and a variety of widths. Customers can mix and match styles on each side of the door. Available in 20- and 90-minute fire ratings with a 10-year warranty.
Fiberglass Windows and Doors / Integrity by Marvin
Integrity windows and doors are made with Ultrex, a patented pultruded fiberglass that outperforms vinyl, rollformed aluminum, and other fiberglass composites, the company says. The finish is third-party verified to AAMA’s 624-10 specifications and performs so well that the Integrity line is offered in dark colors, such as Ebony, without fear of increased heat loads, UV degradation, or fading. It won’t crack, dent, chip, or peel, and is virtually maintenance-free.
Folding Glass Doors / Solar Innovations
Residential folding glass walls with accordion-style or bifold doors from Solar Innovations can be set in nearly any part of a home. Glass partitions are hurricane impact-rated in select areas, including Florida, and can be used in interior applications, as well. All residential folding glass walls are made with aluminum to prevent warping and rot, minimizing the need for maintenance. Low-E glazing helps boost energy efficiency.
Decorative Glass / Masonite
Three new decorative glass offerings— Cruz, Focus, and Double-Water—were created by door manufacturer Masonite to complement 2018 design trend forecasts. Cruz glass (shown) suits the urban trend—smooth, sleek glass and clean lines coordinate with concrete, metal, and industrial components. Focus glass works well with the modern-farmhouse style, with frosted and clear glass adding dimension. And, paired with the Mediterranean aesthetic, Double-Water glass gives the appearance of water.
Windows and Doors / Windsor Windows & Doors
Windsor Windows & Doors is owned by Woodgrain Millwork, operating plants in Iowa and North Carolina. Windsor offers four product lines: Pinnacle wood clad (shown), Legend cellular PVC, Next Dimension vinyl, and Revive replacement windows. Double-strength glass is standard for all products and the Windsor Glazing System leverages the energy performance of the reverse dual-seal design it dubs Super Space Warm Edge Technology. The portfolio also includes sliding, swinging, bifold, and multi-slide patio doors.
Windows / Andersen
The 400 Series is Andersen’s most popular and is now available in custom sizes. The windows feature a solid wood sash covered with low-maintenance Perm Shield vinyl cladding, and the sash tilts in for easy cleaning. For traditional architectural applications, the Woodwright 400 Series double-hung window (shown) offers thick, sloped sills; precision-milled wood interiors; and historically accurate grille patterns.
Windows and Doors / Marvin Windows and Doors
Marvin’s push for innovation is documented by 40 U.S. patents for such designs as multi-point locking mechanisms for windows, low-profile door thresholds, and sills with a self-draining moisture management system. Marvin is a manufacturer of made-to-order wood and clad wood windows and doors, and the company offers an extensive selection of shapes, styles, sizes, and options.
Multislide Doors / Western Window Systems
Updated for energy and structural requirements, the Series 7600 multislide has a 0.30 U-value for standard, low-E, argon-filled dual-pane glass for a variety of climates, complying with California’s Title 24 requirements. The door comes standard with LoEˉ²-270 all-climate coated glass or LoEˉ³-366, delivering solar control and high visibility, from Cardinal Glass Industries. The Series 7600 comes in heights up to 15 feet.
Prefinished Doors / Jeld-Wen
Jeld-Wen’s Statement Collection of prefinished interior and exterior doors delivers an artisan, hand-brushed finish. Combining on-trend colors and texture, the finishing process involves multiple coats for richness and depth. Five finishes that replicate the look of real wood are available on a selection of doors from the Smooth-Pro and Studio Collections, among others.
Rot-Proof Doorjambs / Endura Products
FrameSaver’s rot-proof exterior doorjambs won’t absorb water, or rot, crack, or warp, the company says. Backed by a fully transferable lifetime warranty, Endura offers jambs with a composite bottom 4 inches finger-jointed in wood or an entirely composite jamb. The composite machines and finishes like wood, can be painted, and the finger-jointed construction boosts structural integrity for the entire frame.
