New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont finished in the top three of the rankings of the best states to raise your kids, as determined by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, a group that focuses on children’s well-being.
MarketWatch reports that the rankings were based on economic well-being, education, health, and family and community.
Along with New England, several Midwestern and Great Plains states rated highly as well, including Minnesota (No. 4), Iowa (No. 5), and North Dakota (No. 9). The worst-ranked states were Louisiana, New Mexico and Mississippi.
