The Greater Boston area’s housing market is heating up, and buyers are settling with whatever land they can get, even if a historic home sits on it, the Boston Globe reports.

However, fewer buyers have the time or interest to take on older homes as projects. “Most are more interested in moving into ready-made homes with mud rooms, big kitchens, and open floor plans rather than a fixer-upper that requires time and money to finish,” the article says.
