After a few years of working out the bugs and improving communication between devices, smart home technology has become incredibly smooth and user-friendly.
Urban Land reports that several builders such as Meritage and Brookfield Residential are working smart home tech into their new projects in Southern California.
Meritage homes have the new M.ConnectedHome Automation Suite, a platform that features connected door locks, garage doors, video doorbells, light systems, thermostats, and irrigation systems. Brookfield has a platform that incorporates Apple’s iOS operating system, where users can control lights, locks, and thermostats through their iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches.
