The city of San Luis, Ariz. is cracking down on safety and completion of construction projects.
The San Luis Department of Development Services Building Safety Division initiated the Building Safe program this month.
The program will address projects that are unfinished or left in bad shape. Construction projects without permits will also be targeted.
The police department will issue citations to individuals who violate building codes and city ordinances.
Contractors must also comply with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and have appropriate licenses for their work.
Fines for noncompliance will start at $500. For more information visit the Yuma Sun website.
