Located outside of Reno, Nev., Tesla’s Gigafactory 1, which opened just a few years ago, is drawing droves of workers who are looking to buy a home.
Reno, along with Colorado Springs, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Lexington, Ky., top Bloomberg’s list of the nation’s busiest housing markets for buyer activity, based on Attom Data Solutions’ pre-mover index.
With the exception of Washington, the top-ranked cities all have median home prices under $400,000.
The report offers clues to where buyers are finding a greater supply of affordable homes, with the suburbs surrounding Washington, Chicago, and Atlanta topping the list of the busiest counties.
San Francisco, which has a median home price in the seven figures, was at the bottom of the activity index.
