The Greenbuild KB ProjeKt is a concept home meant to envision how homes will be built in 2050.
It will not only meet California’s net zero mandate—all new homes will have to meet that standard by 2020—it will also reflect a new conceptual approach. The modular home will be designed to make it easier for residents to remodel their homes as their lifestyles change. The home is also being built with an eye toward keep construction costs in line so buyers don’t forsake new housing for cheaper resale homes.
