Comcast has already been in the home security market since 2012, when it debuted its Xfinity Home security services. It is now looking to expand into the growing market of connected home devices, including stand-alone cameras and thermostats that can be controlled remotely.

Comcast has said that 55% of Xfinity Home customers become new Comcast subscribers.
