A group of Fayetteville, N.C., builders and developers is pressing the city for concessions on the zoning and development codes that were approved nearly two years ago.

A group of Fayetteville, N.C., builders and developers is pressing the city for concessions on the zoning and development codes that were approved nearly two years ago. A developer presented the city with a list of 29 items builders would like to change in the ordinance. The Fayetteville Observer says in an editorial: “The developers seek some reasonable changes, now that they've used the new ordinance for nearly two years. But other modifications represent a chipping away at the ordinance's most important attributes. By all means, streamline it, but let's not slip back into our ugly-duckling past.”
