  • Monitor the weather regularly
  • Secure job site materials including dumpsters and portable bathrooms
  • Place pumps in excavations or basements in advance of a storm
  • Secure hazardous chemicals offsite, if necessary
  • Use caution during damage assessment, especially in standing water because sharp debris may not be visible
