ReGen Villages, completely self-sufficient villages that supplies their own power and food, are being constructed in Europe.
ReGen Villages Holding, B.V., is piloting its first 100 homes across 15,500-square-meters in the planned city of Almere in The Netherlands this summer and plans to develop four other eco-villages in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Germany. The village plans feature energy-positive homes, mixed renewable energy sources, energy storage, organic food production, vertical farming, aquaponics, water management, and waste-to-resource systems.
