Nationally, home sales went up 13.4 percent, data from Redfin reveals. But as more Americans pick up homes, supply dwindles, and prices increase.

Data from Redfin shows that prices increased 5.8 percent nationally, while supply hovers near record lows. “Moderate increases in inventory and lower market speed signal seasonal slowdown to come,” the report says.
