Of the 20 hottest housing markets — as measured by listing views and days on market — 11 of them are in the nation’s most populous state.
San Francisco, which includes Oakland and Hayward, Calif., is atop the list. The median list price is $748,000 and houses are on the market for an average of 30 days.
Vallejo (fourth), Santa Rosa (fifth), San Jose (sixth), San Diego (eighth), Santa Cruz (10th), Sacramento (12th), Stockton (13th), Yuba City (14th), Los Angeles (17th) and Oxnard (18th) are the other California cities on the list. Denver and Dallas round out the top three.
