The Hottest Markets For Real Estate Investing

August 30, 2017

People looking to make a sizable return on their real estate investments should look at properties in competitive markets including the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, and Sparrows Point, a small community in Baltimore County, Md.

These places finished in the top three in Business Insider’s list of the hottest housing markets in the country. The list was determined by Sharestates, an online real estate investing platform, which based the rankings on three metrics: Return on Investment (ROI), After Repair Value, and the demand increase from last year.

"Each of these cities is seeing increased interest from investors," Sharestates founder and CEO Allen Shayanfekr said. "The majority of the properties in these 10 markets are considered to be reasonably priced and relatively affordable, providing investors with the potential to make a sizeable return.”

Other major cities on the list include Atlanta, at No. 6, and Jersey City, at No. 8.
