According to Realtor.com, the idea of leaving dense urban centers and heading into more spacious, more affordable suburbs will remain. One in five adults said they changed their residence due to the pandemic or knew someone who did, according to a Pew Research Center study. And Realtor.com’s data found housing inventory in the suburbs has dropped much faster than in urban areas. One realtor found that many buyers just want a home with more space, a backyard, or a view.
