Realtor.com finds a clip from the 1950s that shows us what people back then thought would be the “Kitchen of the Future.”

Many of the kitchen amenities they imagined were quite off: Horizontal refrigerators, built-in rotisseries, adjustable counter tops, and “hummingbird wings on toast” for dinner.

Though most of these aren’t staples in today’s kitchens, technology forecasters (and sci-fi enthusiast) back then were spot on for some things. Take the visual TV-menu, for example, which Realtor.com likens to a predecessor of Pinterest on a kitchen tablet.
