Kiplinger lists the median sale price of a home in the 100 largest metro areas in the U.S., using data tracked by Clear Capital.
Data show that home prices are still rising nationally, though at a slower pace than a year ago. Prices nationwide rose 6.4 percent in the year ending Dec. 31, but still 22 percent lower than the peak in 2006. According to Kiplinger, one big reason for this is that investors made fewer home purchases in the past year.
