NAR: Credit Conditions Continue to Be Tighter Than Normal

According to the NAR, credit conditions remain generally tight “with significant loan processing delays.”

More than half of NAR real estate brokers that provided transaction credit score information reported buyers' FICO credit scores in the range of 740+. Among first-time homebuyers, only 32 percent of buyers reportedly have FICO scores of 740 or higher.
