Check out which are the least expensive states to live in the U.S., according to Golan’s Moving and Storage.
Mississippi tops the list of the least expensive places to live with a cost of living index at 87.8 (U.S. average is 100). There are low property taxes, affordable housing and entertainment, and lower-priced food, utilities, and healthcare. Other states that came in near the top of the list include Tennessee, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Indiana.
