Insurance Service Office, Inc. (ISO), recently analyzed building codes and enforcement and found that Pima County, Ariz., consistently outscored comparable jurisdictions in Arizona and the nation. Since 2007, Pima’s commercial score improved from 81.12 to 87.97. The residential score improved from 73.99 to 77.05. Improved scores result in a lower risk rating, which can contribute to lower homeowner and business insurance rates.
