The Seattle-area saw the fastest-rising home prices in the country for the 10th straight month, the Seattle Times reports.
The average single-family home in Seattle cost 13.4 percent more in June than a year prior, compared to 5.8 percent growth nationally. This creeps closer to the 20 percent growth rates seen in Seattle during the 2006 housing bubble.
A typical home in Seattle costs $750,000, up 78 percent from five years ago. Just 27 percent of all homes in King County, where Seattle is located, are selling for less than $500,000.
