SolarCity Not Impressed by Tesla’s New Powerwall

The media was impressed by the new home battery that Tesla unveiled the end of last month. But some entities, such as SolarCity, the company Elon Musk is chairman of, isn’t ready to jump on the bandwagon.

According to Business Insider, a SolarCity spokesman doesn’t think the Powerwall makes financial sense. For example, the 10 kWh option isn’t designed to go through more than about 50 charging cycles a year.
