Study Finds Saving for Down Payments Isn’t Priority for Most Renters

According to Freddie Mac, most renters carry debt each month, and down payments on a home is not a top priority for them.

However, 56 percent of renters are optimistic about managing their debt. Broken down by generation, Gen Xers are more likely than Millennials or Boomers to buy a home in the next three years.
