Texas Home Builder’s Deal Has Buyers Camping Out for Lots

First Texas Homes is selling lots in McKinney, near the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, and homebuyers are camped out to get first dibs.

According to NBCDFW, lot buyers camped out in tents, cars, or on cots to get the premium lots offered. The builders also offered free upgrades worth $3,000 to the first 10 buyers.

The lots are part of phase two of the Prestwyck development in northwest McKinney. The U.S. Census Bureau reports that McKinney is one of the top 10 fastest growing cities in the U.S.
