A new study from SmartAsset found that Millennials are headed south and west in 2018.
The personal finance company looked at 2017 city emigration and immigration data from the U.S. Census Bureau. It found that Washington state received the largest net influx of Millennials, at nearly 40,000 individuals. The majority of this group headed to Seattle, which saw the greatest increase of any one city.
Another popular state was Virginia, which saw the fourth highest influx of Millennials of any state and hosts three of the top ten cities, including Newport News, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach. Texas received the second highest influx, while Colorado was third.
