A Portland, Ore., couple was evicted from their 200 sf home on wheels for violating zoning laws. Located on private property, the house sits on a trailer, and is therefore classified as a mobile home.
Mobile homes are not permitted to be used as permanent residences in a single-family zone. The couple is reportedly working with the mayor’s office to change the zoning regulation so that they can move back into their home.
