In order to help homes go completely cable-clutter free, Coldwell Banker curates three smart cover plates that make outlets do more than just sit there.
One example is the SnapPower USB charger, which raised over $839,301 on KickStarter. The cover plate allows homeowners to directly plug in USB cables to charge their devices, without having to use a clunky adaptor.
Another smart option is a recessed cover plate, which gives extra inches of space so “furniture can fit flat against the wall and hide wires,” Coldwell Banker’s blog post says.
But if you think homebuyers want to forgo cables altogether, consider furnishing homes with furniture that charges phones, such as the wireless-charging collection released by Ikea.
