Careers in Construction Colorado (CICC) received a generous land donation valued at $2.8 million from the Case family this month with the goal of expanding to 65 schools statewide to provide vocational education opportunities for students in Colorado. The Case family has been involved in real estate since the late 1930s, and Randy Case, a former Colorado HBA president and NAHB senior life director, remains active at all levels of the Federation, the National Association of Home Builders reports.
Students enrolled in CICC are provided with technical skills in construction trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical through the Home Builders Institute Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT) program, and the Case family's donation will allow that program to reach even more students.
“We are incredibly thankful to the Case family for this significant donation to expand career opportunities for students in Colorado,” says Renee Zentz, CICC president and CSHBA CEO. “The CSHBA members donate their time and resources to help train the next generation of industry professionals, and with the Case family support, we can take our efforts to the next level.”
