International Builders' Show New Product Zones in action
This article first appeared in the Your IBS 2023 Preshow Planner issue of Pro Builder.

In 2023, the International Builders’ Show returns to Las Vegas after a three-year absence. The 2023 IBS promises to be the biggest show in years with exciting new opportunities to explore the latest cutting-edge products and services. Specialized IBS zones and pavilions on the show floor are full of new and expanded offerings, and Design & Construction Week (DCW) broadens the range of products with the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and, new this year, the National Hardware Show, The International Surface Event and Las Vegas Market.

Building Zones and Other Demonstrations

Discover new products, learn how to use them and see them in live demonstrations in the IBS Demo Zones.

These zones have long been some of the most popular areas on the expo floor—places where experts provide step-by-step demonstrations of products and techniques that save builders time and deliver high-performance homes.

In 2023, there will be two Demo Zones. The brand-new West Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center will host the Craft Techniques Zone. These demos will explore the details, updates and finishes that complete the home, including best-practice techniques, skill building, and new products and materials to make homes stand out.

The Construction Performance Zone (formerly the IBS Building Zone) in the South Hall will focus on structural and performance-related aspects of building to construct more durable and energy-efficient homes. Demos will cover basements, wall systems, roofs, materials and much more with a focus on construction speed, efficiency and cost.

Additionally, the IBS Jobsite Safety Zone in the Central Hall is another great place to see live demonstrations of products that protect workers and others from injury.

New Products and Companies in Focus

Also new for IBS 2023 in Las Vegas is the New Product Zone in the Central Hall. The hottest products from IBS exhibitors will be displayed in one high-profile area right at the entrance to the expo hall.

Exhibitors apply to have their products featured in the New Product Zone, in addition to their own booths on the show floor. Only the top products are chosen, ensuring a great experience for both attendees and exhibitors.

International Builder's Show New Product Zones showcase the latest in building products

The IBS Start-Up Zone is another new addition to IBS 2023 in Las Vegas. This special area in the new West Hall provides new and emerging companies the opportunity to exhibit their revolutionary new products and services at IBS. Serving as an incubator for businesses entering the residential construction market, the Start-Up Zone will offer a first look at technologies and products that could one day have a significant impact on the industry.

Cutting-Edge Technology

Directly adjacent to the Start-Up Zone in the West Hall are the Home Technology Pavilion and nextBUILD, the premier destination to learn about the hottest technologies for the home and office.

nextBUILD showcases the latest home and business technologies, right on the show floor. Explore products, software and services that will make your business more efficient, as well as the most advanced building materials and technologies to build modern homes.

The Home Technology Pavilion is the perfect place for builders and remodelers looking to explore home automation and products tied to the Internet of Things (IoT). From wired to wireless, apps and heads-up displays, it’s all in the Home Technology Pavilion.

IBS 2023 promises to be the biggest show in years. Demand has been unprecedented, and exhibitors are eagerly awaiting their build dates. Plan to take advantage of all the International Builders’ Show has to offer.
