The City Gardens affordable housing complex in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood recently opened its doors, providing 200 units for families transitioning from being unhoused. Funded by the city's Our City, Our Home Fund and the state's Homekey program, the City Gardens complex offers permanent supportive housing with on-site services, including education, job training, and health care, CBS News Bay Area reports.
On-site social services will be provided by the nonprofit organization Abode Services, ensuring residents receive not just affordable housing but long-term support as well.

"City Gardens is a wonderful family project that we are excited to be a part of," said Louis Chicoine, CEO of Abode Services. "We are thankful to have been brought on by the City and County of San Francisco to operate such a beautiful and meaningful building that is now home to many San Franciscans."
