In this issue, we’re taking a look at how businesses can become more welcoming and inclusive workplaces. On that same note, we're looking at a report from Construction Coverage, which shows women are drawn to construction roles that offer better benefits and higher pay. That report shows states with a higher share of these roles are attracting more women to the workforce. 

Kat Klingenberg also takes us through the ins and outs of passive house design, and over on the Women at WIRC podcast, we hear from Home Builders Institutes’ Torri Broderick and Jess Maldonado as they walk us through their plan for transitioning U.S. Military service members into the construction industry.

In 2026, the Women in Residential Construction Conference is returning with a two-day virtual event from Sept. 29-30.
