The American Institute of Architects announced the winners of its annual 2015 Housing Awards, The Huffington Post reports.
Olson Kundig Architects, designer of the Studhorse home in Winthrop, Wash., was one of the winners for one/two family custom housing, and the Broadway Affordable Housing development in Santa Monica, Calif., by Kevin Daly architects was one of the winners for the multifamily category.
The award was establish “to recognize the best in housing design and promote the importance of good housing as a necessity of life,” the AIA said in apress release.
Awards were selected across three categories: one/two family custom housing, multifamily housing, and special housing. Most of the winning homes were completed in 2014, but firms are allowed to submit projects completed within a five year window.
