SmartAsset released its third annual study about the best places to buy a home big enough for households to raise a family. The study is based on an analysis of six data points: change in home values, change in rent, percentage of homeowners burdened by housing costs as a percentage of income, percentage of houses with at least two bedrooms, and the average effective property tax rate.
Hint: The top 11 cities are located in the Western states and big cities with relatively high cost of living didn’t fare well.
