Buyers better buckle up. 2020 is going to be another tough ride for them, especially those looking to find an entry-level home, according to a senior economist at Realtor.com. After delays due to extended schooling and financial stress, large swaths of millennials are finally prepared to become homeowners. But after builders increasingly focused on the high-end sector, the market isn’t ready for the demand placed on entry-level homes. Supply, not necessarily cost, will be the straining point for homebuyers in 2020 as they search for an existing home from a shrinking inventory.
