4 entry door innovations from Therma-Tru

Four new products from Therma-Tru are intended to meet builder demands and the current tastes of homeowners, including more choices in premium doors and better entryway functionality. • New Avonlea™ Glass Design expands Therma-Tru's decorative glass portfolio with its new clear baroque glass design with black nickel caming, designed to complement Modern, New American and Colonial homes.
• New Vented Sidelites allow homeowners to let fresh air and light into their homes without compromising style or energy efficiency.

New Classic-Craft Canvas Collection

Therma-Tru introduces the latest in great entrances with its new Classic-Craft Canvas Collection, the first premium, smooth fiberglass door to carry the Therma-Tru name. The collection is designed with all the beauty and performance of the Classic-Craft line, with a new, smooth, paintable surface that allows homeowners to easily adapt to home interior and exterior finishes.

The doors feature architecturally correct facets, including wide center panels and rich, market-tested embossment details that rival high-end custom wood doors, as well as heavy-gauge steel doors. Each entry door in the collection features all the sought-after benefits of a premium fiberglass door system, including security, durability and energy efficiency.

To suit a wide variety of architectural styles, the Classic-Craft Canvas Collection includes five new 6'8"-door styles: Two-panel square top; two-panel plank soft arch; four-panel arch top; five-panel; and one-panel plank Craftsman. The entire Classic-Craft glass portfolio is available, including 11 decorative and clear, Low-E glass design options.

Enhanced Fiber-Classic Oak Collection

The fiberglass entry door that revolutionized the industry more than 25 years ago is now better than ever. Therma-Tru’s Fiber-Classic Oak Collection has now been enhanced to include more aesthetically pleasing designs, high-definition embossments and a wider variety of decorative glass options, including designs previously available only in the Smooth-Star® product line.

The Collection features three new door styles: Two-panel 3/4 top in 6'8"- height; four-panel square top in 6'8"-height and three-panel in 8'0"; height. This widened palette of choices makes it easier for homeowners to customize an entryway to fit their personal style. The Collection's natural warmth and rich Oak graining provide great value in comparison to premium wood doors, without sacrificing the advantages of fiberglass.

New Avonlea Glass Design

Inspired by the simplistic beauty found in nature, the new Avonlea glass design features clear baroque glass with fluid lines in a free-flowing leaf pattern accented with bronze water glass and black nickel caming. In a recent nationwide survey, consumers ranked Avonlea first out of six other glass designs when asked which they'd prefer and which they'd purchase. Avonlea glass is designed to complement Modern, New American and Colonial homes and expands Therma-Tru's decorative glass portfolio with a fresh design at an affordable price point. The new glass is also ENERGY STAR® qualified, providing additional energy savings for environmentally conscious consumers.

Glass sizes include full-lite, 3/4-lite, 1/2-lite, oval- and center-arch lite – all that add a touch of serenity to the exterior of any home while increasing the amount of natural light to the interior. This new glass design is available in the Fiber-Classic, Smooth-Star, Profiles and Traditions door lines.

Vented Sidelites

Homeowners can now let light and fresh air into their homes without sacrificing energy efficiency or style with Therma-Tru's new vented sidelites for the Fiber-Classic Oak Collection and Smooth-Star product line. The fastest growing category in hinged patio and entry doors, vented sidelites offer the ventilation consumers want without the inconvenience and obstruction of storm doors or sliding screens.

Therma-Tru's vented sidelites are continuous systems comprised of either one-hinged door and two-hinged sidelites, or two-hinged French doors and two-hinged sidelites. Door stile edges and a wide patio mullion provide additional strength when doors are open.
