5 charts show how U.S. home prices are cooling down

Home price increases in the U.S. is slowing down, and according to The Wall Street Journal’s real estate blogger Nick Timiraos, the deceleration is a mixed baag.
Based on analyses of S&P Dow Jones indices, Timiraos found that the share of homes selling out of foreclosure was falling, attracting growing interest from investors. Meanwhile, low interest rates and pent-up demand from traditional buyers led to bidding wars. Timiraos shares five charts that show the fluctuation of home prices.
